Vincent Van Gogh: Tulipmania

In just over a decade, Van Gogh created around 2,000 artworks which included landcapes, still-life, portraits, and self-portraits.

“If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere.”

― Vincent Van Gogh

“…and then, I have nature and art and poetry, and if that is not enough, what is enough?”

― Vincent van Gogh

On my second solo-trip to Singapore, I was in time for Garden By the Bay’s yearly Tulipmania event. Gardens by the Bay is one of the world’s largest indoor gardens, and each year, they host a massive tulip garden display in parallel with Netherlands’ iconic floral landscape. That year, the theme was to celebrate Vincent Van Gogh, and the flowers were intricately designed to mirror his famous paintings. Van Gogh is my most favorite painter and tulips are my favorite flowers. This Tulipmania was pretty much everything I wanted.
